GetNyay Data
Government of India publishes a great deal of data about consumer harm, and almost none of it in a form anyone can use. We compile it from the primary documents, keep it current, show our working, and licence it for reuse.
Every figure is read out of the original document — an answer given in the Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha, a Press Information Bureau release, a National Judicial Data Grid dashboard or a Department of Justice statement. Nothing is taken from a news report, an aggregator or another website, and every figure on a page links to the document it came from.
A year with no published figure says so. We never interpolate, project or round up to close a gap, and anything we calculate rather than quote is labelled as our calculation with its inputs shown so anyone can reproduce it.
Everything here is free, needs no signup, and is published under CC BY 4.0 — reuse any figure or chart with credit and a link. Press queries to team@getnyay.in get a same-day reply.

Cognizable crime recorded in 2024 and how it is disposed of: what the chargesheeting and conviction rates are actually rates of, the figures for all 36 States and Union Territories, the recorded crime rate back to 1981, and every NCRB crime head mapped to the section of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita now in force.
