Documents a company issues to an employee — offer, appointment, joining, payslip and written warnings.

Leaving a job? Those letters are on our sister site

We keep everything about exiting a role together rather than splitting it across two clusters, so the resignation letter format, the relieving letter your employer issues on your last day, and the experience letter are all on LayoffNext. Everything on this page stays here.

Quick answer

This is the index of GetNyay's free letter and application generators. They fall into two families: letters you write yourself — leave, NOC, undertaking, declaration, apology, consent, authority, bonafide and transfer — and letters a company issues to an employee, which are offer, appointment, joining, payslip and warning letters. Every one has a live preview and a free Word and PDF download.

Key takeaways

  • Two families: letters written by an individual, and letters issued by an employer. They are indexed separately because the person writing them is different.
  • Every generator has a variant selector, because one document name usually covers several different letters.
  • All of them run in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to a server, stored, or included in analytics.
  • English and Hindi where Hindi is genuinely used, with correct Devanagari in the Word download and the print sheet.
  • Resignation, relieving and experience letters are not here — they live on our sister site, linked below.

Two families of letter, and why the split matters

Everyday paperwork divides cleanly into documents you write about yourself and documents an organisation writes about you, and the difference decides almost everything about how the letter should read.

When you write it, you are asking for something or stating something: leave, consent, an authorisation, a declaration about your own income or address. The letter is in the first person, you sign it, and its weight comes from being specific and honest.

When a company writes it, it is recording or deciding something: an offer, a contract of employment, a confirmation of joining, a month's pay, a disciplinary warning. It is in the organisation's voice, signed by someone whose designation is stated, and its weight comes from being precise enough to be relied on later.

Certificates sit in between. A no objection certificate, a character certificate and a bonafide certificate are all written by someone else about you — but you will usually be the one drafting them, because an office signs a correct draft far faster than it composes one. Those generators are written in the issuer's voice for exactly that reason.

How the generators work

  1. 1Pick the variant. Almost every document name covers several different letters — nine kinds of leave, five kinds of NOC, five kinds of warning — and the variant selector swaps the whole body.
  2. 2Fill in the form on the left. The draft on the right updates as you type, and unfilled fields show as bracket tokens so the document always reads as complete.
  3. 3Watch the counter. It tells you how many required fields are still empty and names them.
  4. 4Switch to Hindi where you need it. The whole letter is rewritten, not translated word by word.
  5. 5Download. Word for editing, PDF for sending as it stands, print for a signed paper copy, or copy the text into an email.

Everything stays in your browser

There is no submit endpoint. The preview, the Word file and the PDF are all built locally in this tab, and your draft is saved only to your own browser storage so a refresh does not lose it. Nothing you type is sent anywhere, stored on our servers, or included in analytics.

Which document do you actually need?

Four words get used interchangeably and are not interchangeable. Picking the wrong one is the commonest reason a document is handed back at a counter.

Hindi, and why the Word file matters

Where a document is genuinely used in Hindi — schools, government offices, panchayats, many state employers — the generator produces a full Hindi version rather than a machine translation of the English one.

One technical point is worth knowing. Devanagari reorders vowel signs ahead of their consonant and forms conjuncts, and no client-side PDF library applies the glyph positioning that requires. So for Hindi, the PDF button opens your browser's print dialog, where you choose "Save as PDF" — the browser typesets the script correctly, and the result is a proper PDF.

The Word download has no such limitation and is the better choice for Hindi in any case, because it opens in Microsoft Word or Google Docs and can be edited before printing.

More questions about this page

Are these letter generators free?
Yes, entirely. There is no paid tier, no signup, no email gate and no watermark. You get the complete document with Word, PDF and print output, and you can use every generator as many times as you like.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. Every generator runs in your browser tab. There is no submit endpoint, the preview and the downloads are built locally, and nothing you type is sent to a server, stored by us, or included in analytics. Your draft is saved only to your own browser storage so that a refresh does not lose your work.
Which document should I use — an undertaking, a declaration or an NOC?
An undertaking promises future conduct. A declaration states a fact about your affairs, and a self declaration states a fact about you personally. An NOC is issued by someone else confirming they do not object to something. A consent letter gives positive permission for an act. If an authority has asked for a sworn statement, none of these will do and you need an affidavit.
Can I edit the letter after downloading it?
Yes. The Word (.docx) download is a genuine Word file, not a renamed PDF, so it opens and edits normally in Microsoft Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice. Use the PDF where you are sending the letter as it stands, and Print where you need a signed paper copy.
Do you have resignation and experience letter formats?
Those live on our sister site rather than here, so that everything about leaving a job sits in one place. You will find the resignation letter, relieving letter and experience letter formats linked from this page and from the HR index.
Are these letters legally valid?
They follow the formats used in Indian practice and, where a document depends on a statute, they are written with that framework in mind. Whether a particular letter works for your facts depends on your situation, and some documents — anything a court or a passport office requires on oath — need an affidavit rather than a letter. For anything contested or high-value, have an advocate review the draft.
