Not a lawyer

Deepak Middha is a Chartered Accountant. He is not an advocate, holds no legal qualification, and is not enrolled with any bar council. He does not give legal advice — not on this site, not by email, and not to anyone who writes in describing their case.

What he does is publish general information and document formats, checked against primary sources, and build the tools that assemble them. Legal content on GetNyay is intended to be reviewed by a practising advocate; the current status of that review, honestly stated, is in the editorial policy. Where a matter is contested, high-value, time-barred or headed for a court, the disclaimer asks you to take it to an advocate — and that advice applies to his own drafts too.

Background

Deepak is a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years in the hedge fund and alternative-investment industry, working in accounting, taxation and fund administration across hedge fund and private equity administration in the United States. He has also passed the Series 65 Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination.

Alongside that, he builds and maintains free public-interest tools — sites that take a procedure most people meet once, under pressure, and lay it out so it can be followed without paying somebody to explain it. GetNyay is the Indian legal-procedure version of that idea.

The discipline he brings to it is an auditor’s rather than a lawyer’s: check the figure against the source document, date what you checked, and do not state what you cannot support. That is why every legal claim on this site is traced to the bare Act or the regulator’s own page, and why directory entries carry the date they were last verified.

What he does on GetNyay

Builds the site and the tools

The generators, the calculators and the site itself are his work.

Edits and fact-checks

Every page is checked against the bare Act, the regulator’s page or the government portal before it goes up.

Maintains the directory

Grievance officer entries are read off official published pages, dated, and re-verified.

Handles corrections

He reads every error report that comes in and answers it himself.

He does not represent anyone, does not file anything on anyone’s behalf, and does not contact companies or authorities for readers.

Other work

Deepak is the founder of NRI to USA, which covers immigrant personal finance in the United States — taxes, banking, credit, visas, insurance, retirement accounts and cross-border India compliance. He has written two books on immigrant wealth and options-income strategies.

None of that work has any commercial connection to GetNyay. GetNyay carries no advertising, no sponsorship and no affiliate links, and nothing on it promotes his other properties beyond this paragraph — see independence.

Contact

Error reports, corrections, press enquiries, and enquiries from advocates willing to review this material all reach him at the same address.
